UNDER THE SAME MOON

This world is never stagnant, never the same, yet somehow, always the same. Always existing under the same moon.

I am so happy to share with you this latest body of work. A reflection of evolution, a new way of working, of thinking and feeling. I love to pay attention to the evolving nature of the way I interpret my surroundings. One day to the next, the same interaction, the same physically existing organism, like sea, it looks different, feels different. There’s a beauty in that, because after all, tomorrow is never the same as today.

Tangibly, these last few months saw my practice moving off the walls. Many of these works were made on the floor, less about visual anticipation or critique, and more about energetics, what feels good. All part of a larger picture, before being cut up to stand alone and hold a singular identity. I love this idea, the idea that we’re all part of the same picture though can differentiate to such extremes based on lived experience, beliefs, circumstance. I like to think my paintings have the same kind of energy, all created under the same roof, however a truly tactile reflection of the very moments they were created.
